DIO spreads joy in Epsom Village
It’s easy to get caught in the busyness this time of the year, but children always remind us of the true spirit of Christmas: wonder, joy and generosity.
The Junior girls of the Diocesan School for Girls visited Epsom Village for their annual Christmas concert. They sang traditional carols that delighted everyone, but they also incorporated some more modern songs to their repertoire, like the Gingerbread man rap.
The residents also sang some carols to the children and at the end they all exchanged gifts and Christmas cards.
Connecting with the community is one of the main core values we have at Real Living. The Diocesan School for Girls, located in Epsom, has a strong connection with Epsom Village. This year they visited the village twice with a Concert for Mother's Day and the Christmas Carols. The Junior girls' teacher, Lisa Nash, is the grandaughter of Elaine and Ivan, a couple who was been living in the village for more than 13 years. After all, Christmas is about family and friendship.
You can watch the concert's cutest moments in the video below.
Epsom Village in Ranfurly Rd is a sunny and central retirement village with a range of contemporary apartments.
