The Diocesan School for Girls visits Epsom Village

Hats off to the Year 8 students from DIO who organised a Mother's Day Concert at Epsom Village to celebrate this special day with our residents.

The village was very impressed with the girls' talent when playing classical pieces such as "The Skylark" and "Spring Butterflies"

The students got all the residents singing and happily tapping their feet with popular songs like “Dancing Queen” and “Yellow submarine”.

At the end of such an enjoyable performance the village gave the girls a gorgeous present: a little lion (their mascot) with a homemade knitted scarf with the DIO colours.

Well done girls, we hope to have you back!

Don't miss out this video with the best moments of the girls' concert.

It's safe to say Elvis stole the show, getting most of the residents up and dancing to classics like Blue Suede Shoes, Viva Las Vegas, Love Me Tender, and Suspicious Minds. It was truly a party to remember!

Homemade Christmas Delights

Nothing captures the magic of the season quite like a festive Christmas market, and our villages are brimming with holiday cheer. At Remuera Gardens, residents enjoyed delightful treats such as homemade chocolates, Christmas puddings, and jams, along with charming gifts—from toys and stylish clothing to elegant handbags and jewelry—to share or keep as special treasures. We're also looking forward to our fun Christmas quizzes and the much-anticipated Christmas dinners happening in the coming weeks.
