Glamour and delicious food to beat the winter blues.
When they party, our residents do it with style, creativity and also a good sense of humour. These are the real ingredients behind the success of Real Living’s mid-winter dinners, celebrated during June and July at all our villages.
The stunning Warkworth Hotel hosted the Razzmatazz, the mid-winter dinner (with a twist) organized by Warkworth Oaks residents. The villagers not only decorated the room with incredible taste, but they also prepared all the yummy food to be enjoyed during the evening.
The dress code was black and white with a splash of colour… The most original costume was, without any doubt, the one from “inmate M208”.
The stars of Matariki were the inspiration for Epsom Village’s soiree, with gorgeous homemade decorations prepared specially for the occasion.
The residents shared real stories while indulging in a delicious buffet menu with Feta and Basil Pesto Chicken Lemon and Herb Crusted Pork Belly. Some tables joined into the Matariki’s spirit with their own outfits.
Remuera Gardens village and their residents were also shining for their "Winter Lights" dinner, with more than fifty guests. The Main Lounge was decorated with bright and sparkling decorations to warm up the evening. The wonderful duet “Silver & Strings” entertained the residents, with Martin Driessen on acoustic guitar and vocals and Gayle Askew on flute and vocals.
